WHERE IN THE WORLD?
Something’s Fishy
THIS MONUMENT celebrates a historical moment in the local community’s fishing past. The sculpture is a true-to-size reproduction of an approximately 150-year-old female sturgeon that was caught here in 1903. The real-life fish was almost five metres long, weighed 406 pounds and had to be hauled home on a two-metre wagon.
