The Bruce Hotel, Stratford
The Bruce, set on 6.5 lush acres in picturesque Stratford, celebrated its 10th anniversary last year and garnered its Five Diamond status from AAA/CAA in 2023. It is also Canada’s first fully accessible boutique hotel. But history and accolades aren’t the only reasons to visit. The Bruce ups the ante with special touches that make your stay memorable. Think: Wednesday night fondue dinners, a fully accessible and wheelchair-friendly gym and a 24-hour cookie hotline (yes, really!).

Belfountain Conservation Area
Take a detour to the valley of the West Credit River, an hour’s drive from Toronto, and explore this recently restored 13-hectare park on the Niagara Escarpment. Walk one of the five trails — ranging in difficulty from easy to strenuous — to discover the park’s features, which include limestone cliffs, a suspension bridge overlooking stunning waterfalls and the park’s namesake, a historic fountain topped with a bell.
