Riding Mountain National Park

This issue’s End of the Road destination is at Onanole.

Getting the most out of winter is easy with a visit to Riding Mountain National Park. This protected area is enormous, encompassing 2,969 km2, with diverse landscapes, wilderness areas and a well-developed network of trails ­— you can rent winter sporting equipment to fully embrace the adventure. The park is about a three-hour drive straight through from Winnipeg, but we suggest you make a weekend of it with some stops along the way. Here are some fun attractions that are perfect for the whole family.
