WHERE IN THE WORLD?

Fire Place

COMMISSIONED BY the local arts council, the central feature of this park plaza, which opened in 2014, is a six-metre-high fireplace sculpture made of plasma-cut steel. Surrounded by fire pits, limestone block seating and prairie grass plantings, the installation is designed to be a gathering place that celebrates the importance of fire to the ecology of prairies.
